Day out at the beach and recent artwork

A typical charity shop chic look! Ripped old Top-shop jeans, I actually had to slash these to create the shorts/hotpants customised with Amnesty International patches sewn onto the back pockets because there was no more life left in them as they were, 2nd hand patent leather Doc Martins-free, tattoo design vest top-£2, Laura Ashley maroon cotton cardi (part of a twinset)-£5, angora warm stone colour bobble beret-£2 proving that style doesn't have to cost vast amounts. I am a big beleiver in the salvage-able and bargain bin!

This is a very casual outfit, as would suggest from a day at the beach! The shorts pockets combo'd with DM's give it the extra edge in my opinion, whilst the cardi and bobble hat bring it back into a softer vintage ensemble.

below are some of my paintings and drawings, I am in the beginning stages of planning some sort of clothes/textiles transfer of the designs whether this be silk screening or another method onto old white shirts.

(Richey, of Manic Street Preachers style was fond of customising and adding poetry/political statements to his clot
hes)
also lace and perhaps felt, or whatever takes my fancy at that point!

as the blog title suggests, naturally there has to be Marilyn Monroe featured

this is a gypsy head tattoo design that i did for a friend this was the original
